Do I Tell My Trainer I Have A Pre-Existent Health Condition?

Oscar is 33 years old and works out regularily at the gym, although leaving it for periods due to his work charge. However, he has become a cardio-fan –especially spinning- and he rarely did barbells and apparel.

However, after his last break, he has got back and his trainer put him straight to work out apparel and barbells not considering first the little overweight he was. A month and a half after re-starting his training, Oscar feels he can’t complete the whole routine, he tires very fast, and although he noticed it to his trainer, this one seems not to care about and repeats Oscar he is going to accostum eventually.

Oscar’s family has a diabetes record, a health condition that consists in the increase of glucose levels (sugar) in blood. We know from our experience working out that the glucose provides us the energy we are going to use during our routines and our daily life, and it is usually regulated by the hormone called insulin. So, a person with diabetes is not capable to produce insulin for creating this reaction, so if the glucose levels are not controlled, the person can become to collapse.

Oscar confesses  he already began to make some frequent analysis for determining the diabetes risk, and everything seems to be inside the limits until now. “But my trainer doesn’t know it,” Oscar says. One of the reasons he preferred to ignore this medical fact before his trainer is Oscar thinks his trainer will not know how to process this information, and because his trainer could comment it undiscretionally to not-related people.

The issue is that Oscar would have to warn this information to his trainer, first because of his safety, for the training adapts as it collaborates with the prevention of the diabetes (as his case would be), and the second is if Oscar could suffer any type of related problem, his trainer could not have a plaintiff. However, this is not an excuse.

A Data Policy
Independently from the size and the budget of the gym, having a file with key information of every pupil is necessary: full name, address, contact phone numbers (especially in urgency cases), height, weight, age, and current routine.

If the gym can invest an extra money in documenting information, it could include key clinical data as blood group, supplement the pupil could be taking, if there is any pre-existent health condition, and the record of the suggested routine and diet. Some applications allow to manage this information.

This information is a warrant for the pupil, the trainer, and the gym as well, as much as it is taken as true, and it is taken as a guide for the best training routine or diet to determinelike the most adequate for every person. And let’s remember they must be absolutely customized due to the processes of every organism are quite different each other.

Then, if the gym, the trainer, or the pupil decide to ignore this context by their own side, a simple investigation based on those files will make easier to identify responsible people.

Finally, the trainers who are not managing top-profile athletes should consider that if a pupil warns about a pre-existent health condition, whether it is true or false, what is saying is not an exhausting training is looked for, so the trainer must consider the fact as true, and adapting the exigency to the frame that supposedly has been specified or described. In this case, it is worthy to act slowly despite strongly.

And regarding the Oscar’s claim about an alleged undiscrete conduct of his trainer, he should notice it to the gym’s administration for the corrections to be taken. But every gym must have a clear confidentiality disclaimer that has to be explicit on the document every pupil signs up.

Yes. It could seem too many things to include, but we are talking about human lives, not objects. If you are not clear about this detail, you have no clear what the nature of the physical culture is.

Home Training

Is it possible to get the same results than if you worked-out at the gym?

By ChulucanasGym

Despite many posts say on the net, training at home is an option for people who don't have enough available time for attending a gym but could have the necessary will power to enter one.

It's also a choice for the ones who dont have enough money to pay a membership due to different reasons, but who also show up the enough will power to reserve a part of the day for keeping fit.

And the will power could be the starting point. If you don't have the enough motivation to schedule an hour of your day, or to set up the time for working out, you won't do anything.  Surely, you can request your best friend to visit at home for doing both together, but what would happen the day that friend can't attend?

Missing the training might not be your option, so the cause that motivates you must break out from yourself, in the beginning.

Define Your Goals
The question everybody asks is what exercises can be done at home, and the answer is before designing a routine, set up your physical achievement goals first: losing weight, keeping fit, increasing mass (yes, it is also possible).

Unless you already have previous experience with a supervised training at a gym (what trends to develop discipline), it would be worthy to invest in a personal trainer who helps you to set up those goals with greater objectivity and based upon science, biotype and body measures in other words, so the diet you use to have and you can optimize, and another relevant information as well.

Look for many opinions before choosing a personal trainer. The ideal is that one becomes a companion along your whole training process, but if your budget don't allow to, that could help you to start up with your first session, then supervising you weekly, biweekly, or monthly.

Remember that although you can develop a degree of trustness and friendship with your personal trainer, the ideal would be the relationship to be strictly professional at the time of coaching on you.

Whatever the reason, if you are not available to have a personal trainer, you can write us down at chulucanasgym@gmail.com for providing you with remote orientation (online). This service we offer you is a symbolic cost.

You Need Space
Although there is not a general rule about the space you need for doing the training, the criterion we recommend is your own comfortability. Maybe you need a couple of square feet, or maybe you need a whole room, or even your home's full backyard. Depending on you, your routine, and the existent availability, you must determine how much space you're going to use while you work out.

The suggestion we do point out as universal is your space must be free of obstacles what could harm you during your sessions. Imagine you work out in your bedroom and  you have eberything messy on the soil. Probably you get wounded by your own clothes or damaging your stuff. So although the space be little, you'll get alright if it were clean and ordered.

Versatility
One of the main benefits of home training is you schedule your training time and don't depend on the gym times. It's possible there is one near your home but the time you chose is already full of students. Instead, that problem gets solved at your home or bedroom.

Unless your life activities have no beginning, end time or your schedule be irregular, you decide the time you'll start to move.

of course if you have control of your life, the recommendable is setting up a regular hour for training, maybe just waking up, but if that is not possible, it comes alright anytime free you have.

Another most personal aspect at home, and depending on the privacy degree you have, is you decide what you wear for training. Inclusive you can work out underwore or even Ancient Greek-style (naked).  what you do must consider is there are certain clothes favoring  determined routine types better, depending on your physical goals.

If you work out with music, another advantage is you can do it with that you like much. There is no consensus here about what the ideal is neither. use that motivates you  and can mark you a beat, especially if you do a resistance or functional training. A Bach's selection as well as the Rocky's music score are perfectly valid.

Another aspect that represents a home's advantage over the gym's is you won't have to wait  at any locker-room for free showers. After cooling your body, you go straight to yours and take a bath.

How Many Time Do I Need?
Another advantage of home training is if your time at the gym is very attended, you already won't have to wait for the machine or the space to be free, what means you a time saving. But if you think you need at your home the same lapse you need at the gym, go ahead.

if the time scarce is your enemy or your justification, at least set on 20 or 30 minutes. You can control it classic-style, watching a clock in other words, or setting up your mobile alerts. if you work out with music, you can take as a reference that 5 full songs (usually the radio-edit versions)  equals about 20 minutes.  If you add three more, you'll have the half hour.

In the morning, in the afternoon, or at night? The general medical consensus is when you work out early, just waking up, you charge endorphines for the whole day, those will keep you alert, good humor. You won't have any excuse to run away your own regime, by the way.

However, we repeat, that adjusts to your own life train. The important is you be constant, that you never leave off.

With Or Witout Apparel?
One of the existent prejudges is you can't get at hgome the same results like at the gym because we don't have enough equipment, or we simply don't have any.

Of course if you pretend to be a top-profile athlete, this reason probably could justify. But if your purpose is keeping fit or recuperating it, the creativity is more important than the complexitty.

The universal thing applying to the training at the gym, at home, outdoors, wherever, is dividing the body into key muscular groups: shoulders, arms, chest, back, abs, gluteus, tighs, and calves. Then, your training plan must consider them all, full, focused, in-circuit.

The general or full-body routines look for activate you from the top to the base with exercises working more than a muscular group at a time, with relatively acrobatic movements  (There are all-dificulty levels), those can be used for gaining resistance as well as increasing power, acording to the quantitty and the intensity you take on.

As much as you go gaining more reliability on your routines, many times they end to seem without-apparel olympic gymnastics sessions. Don't feel bad if the trick goes no good at the first attempt. You'll have to practice it until getting it. The results will appear in the process.

[READ ALSO: Aerobics at the beach]

The focused routines are concentrated into a determined muscular group or a couple of them each session, and they are usually used in the power training, the ones looking for strength and volume gaining, in other words.

The in-circuit routines are referred to the ones methodically focused  in some or all muscular groups each session, alternating them to take advantage out  of the resting moments. In other words, in one same session you can start with an exercise for tighs while you don't do anything with your arms, then when you leave doing tights go to the arms, and when you leave them go back to tighs or go to the back, then you do calves.

The functional training is a good example of in-circuit training although it's not the only one. Remember that one of its advantages is it takes up what be around you, turning into accesories for doing each exercise, from your own body weight tover the soil to  the furniture near you.

Yes, a chair, your bed, a small fence can be useful for this purpose.

if you have acquired or have access to any type of training home machine, it also can give you too-notable advantages like if you were using a dozen of them at a gym. Some personal trainers are too capable than inclusive teach you  to adopt certain angles with your body, so a 40-pound  weight look like a 120-pound one, reaching significant results (that's why we said you have to ask well before having a home advisory).

Some people can make their own training apparel or accesories as barbells, those are perfectly valid. The same thing if you buy them at a specialized store. Keep in your mind that if although how is important, also are important what, when, how much, where and why.

what Routine Can I Do?
If you already solved the whole prior details, you can start on moving.  Whether apparels or accessories, or not, the key parts your training session have to include are the warming-up and the routine itself.

Although we are not fans of the rigid formulas, if you insist on knowing what type-routine you could follow up, here we give you one, which you can changing as  you gain more power or resistance.

Warming-Up:
- 4 sets of 10 crunches (if you do them over the soil, remember to protect your back  with a pad or many clothes muffling  and not pressing your skin).
- 5 minutes of static trot or running (if you don't have a walking machine, you can help by using a back chair for not going forward or reverse).
- 15 to 20 pushes on the wall.

Arms, includes shoulders and torso (chest and back):
- 4 sets of 12 push-ups (with hands unite you work out pecs, hands aligned to shoulders work out shoulders with your arms, you work out the back if you put your hands a wide distance.)
- 4 sets of 10 push-ups with feet raised over a sofa, a chair, or your bed (this demands a bigger dificulty, but as you set your hands like the previous exercise, you get the same work-out levels.)

Tighs and gluteus:
- 4 sets of 20 full squads (pushing down your buttocks as much as you can, and flexing up your legs not setting them straight, trying first your feeet unite, then quite separated, and finally widely separated.)
- 4 sets of 15 jumping flexes, whether the feet unite or alternating one foot forward and the another one behind.
- 4 sets of 10 one-leg squads, while the another one is extended  behind for pushing your gluteus when you flex down; then, you do other 10 with the another leg.
- 4 sets of 10 strides.

Calves:
- 4 sets of 30 lift-ups, putting on your toe tips over a step letting your ankles suspended in the air, those you'll lift-up and lift-down (try to hold something  for not losing the body balance.)
- 4 sets of tip-toe walk during 1 minute (our executive editor says you probably will be gotten wrong, but it actually work out your calves.)

We repeat that if you have machines, aparels or accesories at home, you can reply the same movements like at the gym. They work exactly the same. You can also can combine them to the non-apparel training we suggest lines up.

And finally, ever remember the exercise without a balanced diet, enough resting neither, will be useless for you.

How to succeed despite the difficulties

Mario Kanashiro has got an excellent justification to celebrate. He just upgraded as a Master Trainer for the entire Japan in shaka-dance, dance classes combinating hip-hop, African, music hall  with acardio-vascular workout plan. In this new position, he’s in charge of granting the licenses for trainers who teach it.

“Here In Japan, there is more work life than personal life or to relax,” this Peruvian born in Lima City, on November 12th, 1990, comments. He had to migrate with his family when he was just 5 years old. Today, he’s an athlete full of charisma and love, but almost a decade ago, he was totally opposite – sedentary, apathetic, selfish. What happened to his life that brought him out from darkness to light?

Until he was 21 years old, he worked in NTT, one of the largest Japan’s phone companies, translating from Japanese to Spanish and viceversa. “I didn’t, had no intrest on any sport neither; in fact, I had no physique.”

Since he was 20 years old, he began to feel the whole right side of his body lulled: “I felt pain from the neck to the right hand, and I was losing power and sensitivity in my right leg and foot.” He attended two hospitals for an exam, but the surveys didn’t find problems in his muscles and bones, as the first suspicious was. In fact, he has them well formed.

There’s ever a before and an after
The surveys showed a rare anomaly in his neck’s veins just around his second vertebra: they were very narrow, complicating the blood flow, so they didn’t favor a good oxygenation of the body. The surgery was the only way to correct it. However, this procedure was not enough for him to recuperate the mobility of his ends. That’s why he had to go to physical rehabilitation, and the sport was the solution: “I started to build muscle in arms and the hand for having strength when I catch by using low weight; I also did stretches”

During the process, he took a zumba class, he realized he could dance –very well—and he liked it a lot: “I didn’t know to dance, it didn’t provocate me, it didn’t call my attention neither, despite I played the electric guitar between 16 and 20 years old… I performed rock and metal, I even play it good today – I’ve not lost the technique.” He followed to develop as a trainee until he prepared to be a trainer, and the rest is history.

“As for playing guitar you must listen to the drums and the bass, your ear achieves sensitivity for bass ranges, and it’s the same guide I use for creating choreographies,” he explains. “I’m going to be 7 years this year, holding dance classes and training that – I continue to do stretches, I do functionaltraining, and I play video-games in my free times to relax.” Inclusive, Mario sometimes trained weights.

The benefits to his organism have been dramatic: “Before, I ran 1800 feet or 3300 feet and I got tired, I run 4 or 6 miles today and I don’t get tired – I developed a good physique,” He smiles.

Growing takes much time
When Mario gave his first class, nobody attended. The next one, two persons attended. Then, five, seven, until he got his first 20-people group. Today, his groups are until… 40 people! Although it depends on the gymnasium he goes to, but his minimum doesn’t fall down 20 people. Even he lives in Nagoya, his work brings him through several gyms across the island, and getting a way was not simple to him due to the Japanese public prefers to support the Japanese trainers. The effort costed him six years.

“When I began, there were teachers who suggested not to attend my classes because I was a rookie, or the people could injury or I knew nothing of fitness,” he remembers. “Today, I’m the teacher of those teachers, and many get wide open mouth when they see the change, because I became better than them.”

“everyday, I can give classes to 80 to 100 people about,” he tells.  “70% of my pupils are women, so in a class, there are 3 men for every 10. When it’s morning or afternoon, the most are 30 to 60, 70 years old, but I have younger people at night, between 20 and 40 years old.”

Mario describes his pupils like in constant learning mode, like they’re attending to the school, and there’s something new to know everyday. “When I give three continued clases, I have the same pupils. For example, the first class is cultural dance, the second is fitness dance, and the third is hip-hop.” The cultural dances are those ones not available at the disco or in its original country, “and we put them difficult steps, so they can take until two months to learn an only choreography.”

And if he highlighted at dance classrooms, his mixed look has noticed too. One day after attending an event, somebody proposed him to be a model.  The only experience he had up to then was to be the cover boy of his high-school in promotional flyers and posters as well when he was a teenager.

“I signed up a talents school three years ago and I started to have many courses becoming to model HiBowl’s clothes. I was modeling until two years ago, but my career as a trainer became more exigent, so I do it very rarely.”

His casting was exigent too. His face or his body weren’t enough. As they learned he knows to dance, they included that test. But maybe the difficult part was an interview before five judges who examined absolutely everything: his best insights, his skills, even how he mannered. From 1000 people, only 80 passed.

“I’d like following to model clothes, but as I do sports, I’d like to model sportswear or dancewear, as much as I’m becoming known across Japan. If the chance to feature it appears, it would be great.”

 Bad times serve to improve
Mario sustains his better achievement until now has been learning to dance. Critics he had in the beginning pushed him to learn more, to get out his town and having classes, to perfectionate his style, to give his best to his pupils: “I take the critic to improve my work,” he affirms. “If the pupil says you something not to like, it’s not to bother but for you to improve.” He adds if when his work began he was very criticized, it was because he interested to many people.

“We live because of the clients – if there are no clients, there is no class, so you ever have to know how to listen to them,” he states. “There’s still people who prefers a Japanese teaching Latin music instead of a Latin teaching Latin music. I did mind it very much, but I learned now that if the people want to learn Latin music with a Latin guy, and they want to have my class, so have it. If not, they miss it.”

His veins narrowness faced Mario to his lifetime plan, and the answer was to encourage, although that was not easy in the beginning: “The doctor said me raw straight on my bare face that if I did not do the treatment, I was becoming worst. Then initially, more by the pushing of the doctor instead of myself, I went to the gym.”

Despite he overcame his condition so successfully, some sequels are remaining – his right hand is weaker than his left hand (so he prefers to carry stuff with the second one). Sometimes, he feel  an inner itch in the right arm followed by a redness, what can happen when he drives his car or when he’s holding a class. Fortunately, he attends his controls every two years (initially, they were monthly and they were elapsing progressively), and he continues to meet the doctor who encouraged him to take the control of himself – Sensei Izumi.

You grow when you validate and share what you learn
“My another achievement is my trainee has become a trainer, that has taken the same motivation and the same opportunities,” he comments proudly. “Four of my pupils are trainers now.” He specialized in shaka-dance, got his license, and became to give classes with that same discipline’s creator Samira Talha, across Japan in July 2019. And Talha herself was who chose him to go with her: “ I felt happy and nervous as well, because I never thought  I was to work so.”

While we were producing this story, Mario was upgraded to Master Trainer. “I couldn’t believe it, but I understood that everything turns around, that it was because of the time I hhad dedicated to my work,” he says us in exclusive. “When I see in retrospective, I realise that everything happened to arrive to this very moment, and I follow to learn. Samira says us that we must follow to study and go up, despite the position we get.”

“Up to before my illness, I used to be very selfish and negative. I got angry to the people who loved me. When I got sick, I knew what my family and my friends –two— were, who never missed me to visit, despite I knew a lot of people. That was when I realized who loved me and who didn’t, and I started to value more my family and true friends, I started to change because I felt I might give back all that love.”

Business are business… until certain point
“When I began to work, I had no explanation about why the people paid 500 yens, equivalent to 5 dollars, to have a class, when I was not sure if I was doing it well, until a female pupil said me that she came to my class because she felt she was learning. Then, I realised I was rounding myself with people motivated to learn, who saw me to make a new step, and asked me how to make it,” he meditates. “I understood  that for the people, it’s important what I can teach them.”

“That made me to opened my heart, and I turned back to believe in the people, because I left to believe in the people,” he adds. “And that made I valued myself much more, because inclusive I came to think I wasn’t important.” His pupils affirm Mario has a very special energy, that allows him to empathize and feel comfortable with any person, even who envy him, and even them who have come to enter his classes for getting him out of the way, unsuccessfully.

“That’s why we never have to give up, ever have to follow learning,” he says. “There are people who can do some things and can’t do other ones, but to get them, you have to practice them. That learning and that love I put it on is what the people like.” Mario also encourages his pupils to develop their own style instead of copying his, and to practice it hard until getting it. “And they play their part.”

“Another issue is this is a business for real, and there are teachers who study to make money, but you have to identify in your work what thing is actually money and what thing you have to study to have a profession. I can have one only person in my class, as well as having 40. Of course, if one attends, I can dedicate 100%, and if more arrive, I have to deliver it, but ever focused on giving my best.”

In fact, Mario shares his art on his Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube accounts. So if your want to learn more about him and he does, contact him, no matters wherever you are.

The trainer in times of pandemic

When the Peruvian Government ruled all the country’s population (around 30 million people) should keep mandatory quarantine to avoid contagion because of Covid-19, the new corona-virus’ strain, the bodybuilder and national champion José el Churre Escobar figured out that a way to stay in touch to the pupils of his gym, Lima, Peru-based Churretec, was through Facebook Live.

Every night at 7:15 Peruvian Time (8:15 in New York, 5:15 in Los Angeles, 2:15 in London), José shows a full class with some of his power routines. And if somebody doesn’t reach to watch the live vvideo, the file remains available to analyze it or download it later. And since Facebook allows comments, the people can use this function to ask in case of doubts.

He’s not the only trainer who has discovered the advantage of this social medium to address his pupils and who wish to be. In Paita, Peru, Félix Oviedo (who we met because his initiative to do aerobics at a local beach), has already come using as a promotion tool for his gym, PerfectBody, that was good-embraced by his people around as well as the ones who don’t live in his city.

At least in Peru, the authorities have pointed out the discos and the gyms as the places where the contagions seem to concentrate. They explained due to the crowd in both spaces, especially youth who reported not to have any Covid-19 symptom came to infect each other, and when they carried it to their houses, became to infect their whole family or their mates at the workplaces.

If the authorities of your country or your state have explained the communitarian infection of this kind  of virus the same way, it’s obvious to suppose when the quarantine ends, the gyms to be one of the public spaces submitted to huge controls. If you work there, or even you are the owner, you could face a closure if you don’t follow up the local rules in a litteral way. The less, the inmediate one could be the apparel to be further than 3 or 6 feet each other, or maybe the aerobics class to be the same distance or upper. We have to stand by the rule to act.

Rather, your tasks are basically two: to honor the rule and to reinventate yourself. In the first case, it’s obvious that if they demand you to take away physically, you have to choose sanity instead of attendance, maybe to be much strict in times, maybe to experience economic loses while you replace in the market or until the rule gets cancelled.

Become interesting
Your way should be the replacement, a whole innovation plan in your business model not only as a location but as a physical culture pro. The Félix & El Churre’s example is a choice you could have in mind.

“But nobody is going to pay me for making a live,” a Lima, Peru-based trainer comments. Correct! And the same happens to the headlines at a newsstand: the people get closer to read them and they don’t pay for them, but if the content results them interesting, be sure they will buy indeed. Bingo! You have to do the same – to present something interesting that calls the attention, that leaves the feeling to want more in the people. Get creative.

The Little in public, the whole in private
Maybe you don’t have to show a full class. What about to webcast about 15 to 20 minutes? When the free time is over, you could say your audience something kind like “thanks for joining me – if you want to know more about this routine, write me or call me.” And here you can start up a business as a personal or small groups trainer, whether your client’s house or your gym itself.

As you know, this mode has become a profitable business, but look at the people who will trend to hire a pro who doesn’t say only what exercise to do, how many sets, how many reps. People would take advantage from you the most in every session, so if you have a (real)  certifycation on nutrition, massages, advisory, or even other disciplines like yoga or meditation, you have more market chances.

Pitch a full experience
We bet you know to cook. What about if after the routine, you take the kitchen-room, and make something nutritive, or teach your pupil to learn making it? And if you don’t know to cook, why don’t you ally to a restaurant business that can provide your students with a healthy-food-based menu? You could offer the full service and have a fee for recommending this or that restaurant. Yes, in this time, the alliances will allow the survival of entreprenurships.

And if the gym gets a smallest physical space, why not thinking of an outdoor trip service like the countryside, the mountains, or the beach where you serve as a guide, share connecting experiences to the Nature, and encourage your group to work out cross-country or in the water? In the end, this could be a pretty interesting entrepreneurship, that also offers a full experience to your pupil, that shares on the social media. And that’s convenient to you as an entrepreneur.

More public, more planned
Like we advised it you when we talked about to build a possitive attitude or to get a sponsor, we repeat you not to target only on the social media as promotion tools for your or your gym. Try to get the attention of the mass-media by proposing them an interesting project like advising on training or nutrition, maybe writing an op-ed about that issue, or doing a photo shoot (like José escobar’s provided to us for this story). Don’t wish to get money by that, have it rather like advertising in your favor (keep sure your name is pretty visible when the feature once gets published).

As we said, the manthra in those times is getting creative not breaking the rules. Rather, it’s about incorporating the rules for you to become an innovator. How many money do you need? First, we should to outline your idea to see how much resources you need. Having this clear, the next is to list what you have and what you lack. The trick consists in optimizing what you already have  for making it profitable and getting what you lack, but you have to plan. If you don’t make this step, you’ll advance blind.

And whenever, after Reading this, we will pleased to know what ideas come to your mind and, why not, give them a space here. Remember you find us on our Twitter account and on chulucanasgym@gmail.com

It’s time to set you up goals now

You already got engaged to the training, everything suggests you don’t want to leave it – what it comes up next?

Did the big ones of the bodybuilding & fitness begin being big? Not, they didn’t, definetely. Although there’s no general rule, the most probable is they have begun like wondering, that they have became fond of it when they saw the first results furtherly, and that has made him enthusiastic for going to climb more and more.

Maybe someones decided to go upgrade, they started to compete professionally achieving local, then national, then international titles. At this point, it’s important to say such as achievement were not a gambling result but a strategic planning which steps were accomplished little by little. That’s called achieving goals.

If you just entered the training, you maybe don’t see it so clear. If you have certain time, you could consider it as a possibility. But if you feel you have reached atop, it’s probable you feel everything begins to become routine, no much expectation. And if you get boring, the most probable is you end to leave it.

You need a strategy

The best way to avoid a desertion in short or medium term is set you up goals or progressive and logical arrival points along the time those mean not only physical development but keepers of the wellbeing sensation you have achieved at a first time.

If we have an arrival point, we logically have a starting point, and that is your actual status:  what your actual body measures, what the diet you follow is, what your lifestyle is right now, even your health condition. Anyway, basis information upon a plan can be built. The requirement is this data to be the most honest as you can.

From this basis information, begin the process to set up progressive goals at short-term, medium-term, and long-term. If you have the enough experience by training, take the all necessary time to think and write this plan. If you don’t have that experience, sit down with your trainer alone, begin to outline all. If you don’t trust in your trainer, we leave you our contact later.

But setting up goals is not enough. To reach them, you have to get a set of sequential tasks those take you closer time by time – the training strategy. What routine you will do the first month, what routine you will do the next month, and the next, and so until you reach your goal into a right time.

And around the routine to work you out, what diet you must follow up, what things you must adjust in your lifestyle, and what health indicators you must have in mind. It sounds boring, but when somebody begins to know his body better, this turns a fascinating job. See it that way.

When you get to your first goal, analize what worked to you and what not, what you must strengthen and what you must correct, take your measures again, check the diet, verify your lifestyle, monitor your life condition. If all this give positive results, award yourself and begin to work for the next goal. If you don’t get it, continue fighting and don’t give up.

More practical actions

Although the trainer, if you have one, is the prepared person to guide you in the process, we also advice you have a physical and emotional support that allow you to talk, motivate, not to give up. It can be a training partner, your best friend, a relative, somebody you ever can run to.

About this point, as we ever insist, it’s not recommendable to follow the strategy of other person and apply it like it were yours because two organisms, even being the same kin, don’t react the same.

Ever do the exercise of seeing yourself in the mirror alone and appreciate these little or big changes you go experiencing and assuming them like your achievements. You by yourself Will go telling us what it feels when passing through that experience. Later, we’ll  leave you the ways to contact us.

And, finally, it Will be ever days which we are highly enthusiastic and others we don’t have  motivation to do something. There’s no much problem of the first ones. With the second ones, the challenge precisely consists to overcome the discouragement and begin the training. If you let to defeat by him, even a bit, it will go gaining land little by little and it will go defeating you. And remember – you already got engaged, it’s time to go beyond now.

Looking yourself on the mirror, you wish to have a beautyful, healthy body. The first you think is beginning a routine at the gym.
We suggest you choose a gym on your way to the work, university or home, because one of the most ‘popular’ excuses not to go to is “it’s too far.”
Make the gym to be part of your daily routine. As you have to go working, studying, etc., you have to go training.
Coming up next, we’ll advice you for you stay at the gym pretty everlasting, comfortable, and you don’t give up on your goals.

Cost:  You must have in mind that the most expensive gym isn’t ever the best. Before signing up, you have to verify that the gym has the stuff you need to work out the best and your results, indeed.  The ideal is having the next:
Cardio apparel: Verify it has cycles and elipticals. If it doesn’t have a cardio zone, it won’t be easy you oxide fat or having optimus warming-up.
Barbells: Handlers must be in good condition.
Wide Space: Verify it. The ideal is working out not feeling how your classmate sweats beside.
Safety: Apparels must be in good condition. Machines maintenance have to be continuous. Check out that pulleys, cables and barbells be able to be used – you could have an accident.
Certified trainer:  At least, you have count with two who advice on your own routine and according to goals you wish to reach, as well as to advice on nutrition. Some gyms have a nutritionist, who is independent from the trainer. It’s not a waste of time to verify his or her professional certification.

The first days: if it is your first time at a gym, it will turn quite hard and it is probably you’ll feel scared because it is something new or unknown for you. But take it easy!
Once inside, talk to your trainer, expose your doubts, your goals. He or she must help you to clarify the whole picture.
Don’t forget to carry a towel, water, deodorant and extra clothes.

Basic moves: The first one you have to do is warming up to avoid your articulations and fibers get wounded, because you have to prepare them for a strongest exercise , to you aren’t accostummed yet.
Ride the cycle or walk on eliptical during 10-15 minutes.
If you are going to lift weight, it’s important you ask for machines right function. Intuition in this case isn’t very good. You could do things against biomechanics.

After classes:  When you finish, take a relaxing bath, wear clean clothes and go eating inmediatly. Your body is in a critic point, so it needs fuel, urgently. It needs food & protein to put again what you lost by working out.

Pain is normal: It is usual your body be completely achy for the second or the third day, even you don’t want to get back to the gym. Take it easy! It’s normal!
There’s a quote: “If it pains, it’s because you’re doing it right.” Explanation is so simple – your lactic acid levels are on top, so that’s wy it pains.
However, wake up, get back to the gym. The best medicine is submitting your muscle fibers again to physical activity.
