The muscles of the hunter

The perfect night must have a perfect week, just gotta be prepared – But, how much are you?

 


    It’s Saturday and Joe is going to meet his friends at an attended disco in the city. It’s 10:00 and the party is just starting. He was working out at the gym during the whole week, and he expects to impress any chick he can meet in the house tonight.

 

It’s not about he’s a complete athlete, but he didn’t want to be dismissed by his friends neither. They already have spent a couple of months attending and lifting weights. “It’s the best way you build a body,” they assured him.  The first day he got to it, he left impressed by them who were already lifting more than the 20 pounds he was assigned.  When they looked at him with the lighter weight, they began to outwit. The trainer, instead of putting the things in rule, joined the gang.

 

With his self-love wounded, Joe decided to increase the weight. He was sorry one day later but no one could leave him like a sucker, especially because of the girls attending to the class. With his pain included, he continued to attend. If he thought seriously to quit for good, he didn’t want to satisfy the outwitters, so he lifted the weight as he could.

 

“If you wanna get flesh, you gotta eat well,” his trainer confidence him. The hunk revealed a body extremely worked out. “Here’s my diet,” the trainer said him. During the previous days to Saturday, Joe ate everything. On the mid-week, he realized his body didn’t digested adequately, but he discarded it because ‘his body wasn’t adapted’, he thought. Also, he was already feeling his strength was increasing Little by little.

 

His friends appeared 45 minutes after negotiating a permission that looked like an escape of one of the buddies, whose worried parents didn’t let to go out because of the unsafety. “That’s why I go to the gym,” he argued before disappearing from his home’s door.

 

After dacing the disco’s security guard with the old ‘we are many’ premise, he get to enter and check out inside the place. The chicks Joe is interested in are not arrived yet. Meanwhile, everyone gives enough money to buy beer, their mean to come into the night and enhance the hunting.

 

The liquor empties less than an hour, and nobody who interest to our guy appears, although his friends have got eventual couples to dance. As thirsty, he drinks more beer by his own. It’s almost midnight. He begins to feel drunk but it’s better not to comment it for not being tagged as a nerd.

 

Almost ending a new beer round, the trainer appear with some chicks he introduces quickly. One of them engages Joe (or is it the alcohol?). Working to impress, he shows up his chest, turns kind and funny… and orders a new round for the whole bunch. Everybody drinks and the males do it quite much.

 

At least, Joe gets to invite one of the chicks to dance and he teases finest. The chick seems to respond. A kiss would confirm it one hour later. The bunch of friends has passed background. Between the noise and a bottle of beer, Joe tries a new move – get out there and looking for something most intimate. The girl is his partner now. It’s 2:00 in the morning. He does a sign to one friend for awaiting him. A hotel is near where both will get satisfied, especially him, who notice his sexual power increases.

 

Around 4:00 in the morning, without the chick, Joe comes back to the disco because of the door’s stamp. The security guard looks roguy at him. Inside, everyone is without chicks, waiting for the new bodybuilder’s story. Just for the record, they order beers again. They are going to talk to the trainer for paying the gym classes little by little.

 

At 5:00 in the morning, before going back home, they will look for something to eat, and they’ll have a cebiche at noon, maybe some additional beers (they probably will call the trainer), but they have to come back lifting weights on Monday to recover the weekend and wait for the next one, obviously if the hang over allows it.

 

The story is fictional but based upon we have watched any week at a gym, and especially any weekend at any house. Now, based upon science and common sense, let’s check out what Joe did well or didn’t.

 

Does a good body get it all?

There’s a misconception in the physical culture. The idea of a good body gets it all has nothing to do with sports and it’s rather an advertising hook. A good body is the consequence of a constant physical activity. But, achieving great results in less than one month is the same like running before learning to crowl.

 

Distrust the advertising that pitches you shape instead of health. When the gyms were conceived more than 3000 years ago, they had like a goal to keep a healthy population. Doing sports keep out many diseases, even provided a good feeding and resting. On its way, the good body will break out itself, but it’s not it all.

 

Will the weights only give me the shape I want?

No, they won’t. There are so many sports as skills and abilities the human being has. Trainers, specialists, and even right websites recommend that before moving nothing, an integral medical check must be done. For example, the weights are contraindicated for people with pre-existent hernias, or doing it much carefully, rather. The problem is that many places orientated to bodybuilding skip this step. If they put the body before the health, look for another one or train with the advisory of an external personal trainer.

 

I’m ashamed lifting few weight, but I’m not advance much neither

Another highly missing detail is the trainee’s emotional situation and his motivations to train. Deciding by a pusher gang and not by a satisfying reflection ever brings frustration on (although they say the purpose justifies the means).

 

A good trainer knows the sports techniques and how to coach his pupil for finding satisfaction in what he does, so if understood that activity is not the adequate, another can be looked for. But if we have that many trainers carry on their own traumas to the field or to the gym, then let’s not expect good athletes.

 

Eating to live, living to eat, or eating anyway?

It’s the greatest mistake – the diet and the routine of a guy is useless for anyone else, and this starts from the principle of every human being is absolutely different, so they have different metabolisms and needs. A balanced diet has five components: minerals, vitamins, proteins, fat, and water. The key is combining them adequately for they give health to us. Who know this are certified nutrition, or general medicine at least, specialists who will order the appropriate tests to recommend the most appropriate food.

 

May I resist the alcohol?

The exercise tires and the alcohol is a double-edge weapon. A glass can regulate the blood stream, but more than that may be harmful. You need a good blood stream to hold on the training. A glass of alcohol obtained from a fermented fruit or flower may be useful. However, the excess blocks the asimilation of proteins that your body needs to replace muscular tissue involved during the training. In other words, it bloks you to increase mass.

 

Add to this, the alcohol excess nullifies the alert status so it’s forbidden in sports requiring much focusing and coordination. Drinking to become kind is a big hoax and reveals a problem of self-esteem and anxiety that requires professional assistance, and that can include the sport like one of the therapies.

 

In the sampled case, there is sex within the drunkinness. It’s not a good combination because it decreases the sexual response (opposite to what thought), and if amid the unconsciousness, you forgot the condom, we are talking about big problems that can bring lifetime consequences.

 

It’s my private life (no one is allowed)

There’s nothing bad about a trainer goes to have fun at a disco or wherever he believes convenient (dancing is a good aerobic exercise), but he joining the drunkinness, we begin to doubt. A trainer is a kind of coach who submits to the same rule – don’t teach what you don’t do. Indeed, the sport is an integral lifestyle spreading out its own place not invading umcomfortably the rest of our spaces. Said this, the trainers can have fun in private or in public, but they must be open to be part of the solution.

 

Making it?

It has not proven the sexual rrelations and the sport to be contraindicated. Inclusive, people who do sports speak it increases the sexual power, and that is caused by more hormonal production, as much as they get excited more and better than the average ones, and this is the same for males and females. The rule applying here is every excess is harmful, and that includes using substances that supposedly increase the sexual stamina, what cause damages many times… although nobody admits to report it.

 

Staying up late

Not sleeping is another enemy of who do sports. Dreaming helps the body to self-repair and increases the memory. For that, it’s necessary to sleep about eight hours although the repairmen functions just take a couple of them. This doesn’t mean sleeping a little is enough, but, being a complex process, we need all that time to feel really awake. That allows our senses to be full power the next day, and our natural defenses to increase.

 

Thus, sport without resting and adequate feeding, neither a customized good companion, doesn’t work. The short-term either. The sport is not pure magic, but there’s magic into sport that make us more humans. Discover it as it is for real and not like they pitch it.
